One killed 27 injured in East West Highway bus collision

Tilottama:One person died and 27 others were injured after two passenger buses collided head-on at Ganesh Pratikshalaya in Devdaha Municipality-11 in Rupandehi district on Saturday.

The microbus (Lu 1 Kha 3389) heading to Butwal from Bardaghat collided head-on with the minibus (Na 5 Kha 6552) heading to Narayangarh from Butwal, informed Inspector Kabindra Bam of Western Regional Traffic Police Office.

The deceased has been identified as Sabita Pun (23) of Kirtipur, Sunwal-3 in Nawalparasi. The injured are receiving treatment at Butwal and Devdaha based hospitals.
